I'll be honest: There are a million better causes you can donate to. There are many many more people, projects, groups, ideas your dollars could be better used for. And come to think of it, why is it that we often think of donations in the limited terms of time and money? Why not donate some light to the folks around you? Donate some joy and happiness to a friend, a stranger. You don't always have to think in terms of a global scale. You don't always have to wait until a holiday. The effectiveness of charity begins at home, and then one's back yard. Humanity is an ongoing project.

Yes, it takes effort, time, and funds to run this website. I have steadfastly refused all offers from adult sites who will charge to feature my pictures. The photographs draw readership, but ultimately it's the words, thoughts, ponderings, and suggestions that I hope will add to the internet think-tank of transgender existence.

I'm sure there are readers out there who say, "well, someone else is paying, so why should I?" I once heard these utterances at a donation box at a small privately-run art gallery.

I have been repeatedly and gently told that to get anything in this world, one should not hope for chivalry to mysteriously appear unsummoned. I guess I've been a romantic all along. So if you are inclined, a modest donation shall indeed be graciously appreciated.
